Al-Jazeera
The Washington Post has an interesting article about the Washington Bureau head of Al-Jazeera, the only non-national Arab TV news network. Is it accurate, does it pander? Read the article and see.

I've never regarded AJ very fondly. I remember a Saudi saying: "They have a group of four people on, and they all agree with each other. Didn't sound, uh, balanced to me.
Neither did this:
Dahiyat was also appalled at one al-Jazeera reporter's coverage of a battle at Karbala. "She was delivering a speech or a sermon," he says. "She was very emotional and she was adding anti-American editorials to her report."
The broadcast a bit of 'the other side'? Great, that's a good improvement. Being called 'Zionist' is probably a good sign too.
If you think American media is insulated from reality, try media in any Islamic country. You can't criticize the president, nor can you suggest that Islam has anything to do with the country's many problems.
